ClearBand 10% SDS (10% w/v) is sodium dodecyl sulfate prepared in 18 MΩ water. SDS is a detergent that is used for denaturation of proteins especially in polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis applications.  
 
Precautions
If precipitation forms, incubate the solution at 50°C with occasional mixing until precipitate is completely dissolved. Do not store ClearBand 10% SDS solution below 15°C.
